Terra Pad – durable synthetic felt cushioning for dry and demanding conditions
The Terra Pad is a 10 mm synthetic felt insole designed to provide stable protection, natural pressure distribution and improved boot fit inside FlexBoots.
Unlike foam pads, Terra behaves more like compacted ground under the hoof. As the horse moves, the material compresses gradually and shapes itself to the sole, creating a close and customized contact surface inside the boot. Terra is especially recommended for dry seasons, arid climates and horses working on hard or rocky terrain.
How Terra works
The pad compresses and shapes itself to the sole in a way similar to natural ground. This creates:
* even pressure distribution
* improved stability inside the boot
* reduced internal hoof movement
* reliable protection against sharp or uneven surfaces
Because the pad adapts naturally to the hoof, it can also improve the overall fit and stability of the boot. Some lateral expansion of the material is normal and may even improve stability. However, trimming excess material at the toe area is important to maintain proper breakover.

If the Terra Pad is slightly moistened before being placed inside the boot, it can help soften the hoof sole temporarily. This can be helpful:
