The EVA Pad Relief is a high-quality dual-layer insole, specially developed for use in FlexBoots, but it can of course also be used in other hoof boot brands.
The pad consists of two EVA layers with different densities:
- The 4 mm soft EVA layer (black) provides maximum cushioning and comfort for sensitive soles.
- The 6 mm firmer EVA layer (brown) offers light support and additional protection on hard, rocky or uneven surfaces.
This combination ensures better pressure distribution and effective shock absorption, clearly improving overall comfort during movement.
Use
The EVA Pad Relief can be used in two ways, depending on the situation and the horse’s needs:
- Soft EVA facing down (black): for maximum cushioning and protection for sensitive or sore soles.
- Firmer EVA facing down (brown): for mild stimulation and support of natural sole development, when the hoof is healthy and free from inflammation and/or damage.
Benefits
- Extra comfort for sensitive or thin soles
- Reduces sole pressure and absorbs shock
- Supports natural hoof development
- Suitable for rehabilitation and sensitive periods
- Easy to trim to size with scissors
- The use of pads can, when necessary, help improve the fit of the hoof boot
Sizing
Each set of EVA Pads is supplied in one base size and can easily be trimmed to size with scissors.
A sizing template is included and applies from FlexBoot size 110 and larger.
The reason these pads are not available for the very smallest sizes is their 1 cm thickness, which takes up a lot of space inside smaller hoof boots. You can of course trim the pads smaller for the very smallest boots, but please be mindful of how this affects the fit.
The pads are supplied separately for standard Flex sizes and Wide sizes.
In practice, simply trace the correct size and cut out the pad.
Material
The EVA Pad Relief is made from a high-quality dual-layer EVA foam blend, developed for:
- maximum cushioning and comfort
- effective shock absorption
- support during sensitive periods and rehabilitation
