The Scootboot TheraRide is one of the most innovative hoofboots on the market and has a Dual Purpose Design. This means that these hoofboots are suitable for both hoofrehabilitation (laminitis, transition to barefoot, etc.) and sports (with the exception of jumping). Due to the many adjustment options, these hoofboots are suitable for various hoofshapes.
Shock absorption
Each TheraRide comes with high-quality, shock-absorbing insoles / pads that are designed for long-term therapeutic support. These are made of special thermoplastic polyurethane that minimizes shocks, and thus also reduces the strain on muscles and tendons. In addition to the lightweight standard pad for healthy hooves (black), the Therapy Pad (yellow) is also included. These pads are suitable for, for example, transition to barefoot, thin soles, laminitis, sole bruises, navicular disease and pedal osteitis (ossification of P3 hoof cartilage). The pads can be changed, so that they meet the individual needs of each horse.
Fit
The Scootboot TheraRide hoofboots are suitable for horses with normal hooves, hooves with slightly steeper heels and hooves that are slightly longer due to, for example, underrun heels. The TheraRide is not suitable for clubfoot hooves and hooves that flare (are wider than long).
Safe and comfortable
The ScootBoot TheraRide offers a safe, comfortable fit for horses that need 24/7 support. The open design ensures very good ventilation and drainage. The sole is flexible and provides excellent grip. A safe hoofboot that - if properly fitted and adjusted - gives a reduced chance of friction, twisting or loss of the shoes. The straps are adjustable and there are no cable or velcro closures. Numerous extras are supplied free of charge to ensure that underrun or high heels fit properly in these hoofboots.
The contents
What is supplied free of charge with a pair of hoofboots, in addition to the instructions on how to adjust the shoes?
Bulb Straps, MudStraps, Bulb Strap Extenders (to more accurately fit high or submerged heels), Bulb Strap Gaiter (neoprene protection to prevent chafing and provide extra comfort during long rides) and various extra screws and straps to achieve a precise adjustment. Of course, the pads are also included, and per pair of hoofboots are included:
• Two Therapy Pads, suitable for transitioning to barefoot, thin soles, damaged soles from previous laminitis, bruised soles, navicular disease and pedal osteitis.
• Two lightweight standard pads for horses without hoof problems.
If you buy a shoe per piece, then the above is of course halved.
Tip: Once the correct fit is confirmed, we recommend tightening the rear screws with Loctite.
The ScootBoot Enduro Adjust fit kit is the same for the TheraRide.
