The fit of the Scoot Enduro is very similar to the Scoot Boot 'slim' sizes. The more open and more adaptable back of this shoe provides more possibilities to find a suitable shoe for different hoof shapes, as well as for donkeys. The Scoot Enduro is a great choice for longer trips!
The Scoot Enduro should fit snugly around the hoof. Checking the fit takes place with closed front straps. After that, the correct adjustment of the Bulb Strap is determined. This can be made to fit in different ways, such as with a Bulb Extender. The Mudstrap can then be attached. The Scoot Enduro comes with numerous spare and extra parts, including four sizes of Mudstraps, so you can fit and choose the right length.
A point of attention with this shoe is that the Bulb Strap should not be above the heel balls, but against them. Mudstraps' job is to keep everything together. The Bulb Strap does not have the same function as the back of the regular Scoot Boots. The Bulb Strap's only task is to prevent the hoof from turning in the hoof shoe or sliding backwards. If the Bulb Strap were too high or too tight, it would pinch the heel.
Just like with the Scoot Boat, the Scoot Enduro has to be walked in. Incidentally, the Bulb Strap is made of softer material than the back of the Scoot Boot and is even somewhat stretchy. A finger must be able to fit between the BulbStrap and the skin, just as is the case when using the Mudstrap.
Now this all sounds complex, but the Scoot Enduro comes completely 'installed'. Everything is already on and on the shoe, and it only concerns the adjustment.
The Scoot Enduro comes as a full shoe, with the Bulb Strap, Mudstrap, Mudstrap Collar and the Frontstraps pre-assembled. In addition, a bag is included with extras:
