Description

Price per piece and all parts can be replaced, including the sole. This boot is used for (top) sport, recreation and in front of the carriage. The sole is flexible and cushioning and can be adjusted to the shape of the hoof / hoofwall by heating. The sole can move both lengthwise and widthwise.

These boots have been developed in collaboration with endurance riders, veterinarians and hoofcare providers. The sole stimulates blood circulation in the hoof, and twisting of the shoe is almost impossible due to the well thought design. Because this boot can be adjusted by heating, it is also suitable for hooves with a more unnatural shape.
The back is soft and flexible and slopes, which is ideal for horses transitioning. The connection between the back (gaiter) and the shell (the shoe itself) is adjustable.

The front pieces are finished with a soft EVA filling, and the rubber gaiter also has neoprene protection, so that the sensitive parts of the foot are well protected.

You can test the Floating Boot: rent/test shoes
We also have a fitkit available, email us if you are interested.

The size chart below is based on our personal experiences and differs from the manufacturer's size chart. We test all the models we sell ourselves and have extensive experience with Floating Boots. In practice it appears that the boos are just a few mm narrower than stated by the manufacturer.

As you can see, two different gaiters/backs are sometimes possible per size. For example with size M0. Size M0-S has a slightly narrower and shorter gaiter than size M0-M. In size M0-M, the gaiter is located about 3 to 4 mm further backwards and is slightly larger, so that it can comfortably encompass a slightly different heel shape.

So if the hoof is quite round in shape at the front, then an M size is fine (regular). If this hoof is slightly narrow at the back, or is more underrun, choose a larger size gaiter.
If the hoof is slightly oval in shape, choose a size P (slim).

We are happy to help you determine the correct size.

Our experience is also that we do not like these boots very much for horses with a slightly twisting movement in the legs (mowing, twisting) and horses that have a large knee action.
